The “Wutong” Pain Management Centre of Shenzhen New Frontier United Family Hospital specializes in the comprehensive management of chronic and intractable pain. It covers the treatment of pain in the neck, shoulders, upper limbs, and lower limbs (such as cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia), neuropathic pain (such as trigeminal neuralgia, post-herpetic neuralgia, post-surgical pain), and cancer pain (severe pain throughout the body caused by advanced tumors). The Pain Management Centre is led by senior pain treatment experts who have rich experience and master the latest technologies in chronic pain diagnosis and treatment.

Service Scope of “Wutong” Pain Management Centre

1. Neck, shoulder, upper limb, lower back and leg pain: cervical spondylosis, lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion, lumbar spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, etc.
2. Neuropathic pain: trigeminal neuralgia, postherpetic neuralgia, postoperative pain, diabetic peripheral neuropathy (diabetic foot), complex regional pain syndrome, etc.
3. Cancer pain: severe generalized pain caused by advanced tumors.

We Offer the Following Specialized Services and Technologies

1. Minimally Invasive Interventional Therapy
• Percutaneous Spinal Endoscopy:
The preferred minimally invasive surgical approach for cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, and lumbar spinal stenosis. Patients can ambulate within 2 hours postoperatively, completing the day surgery protocol.
• Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS):
A minimally invasive procedure for intractable neuropathic pain, utilizing blended or burst stimulation modes. Eliminates abnormal paresthesia with 70% and above pain relief efficacy.
• Intrathecal Morphine Pump Implantation:
An effective solution for late-stage cancer pain, delivering medication directly to the central nervous system. Achieves stable and lasting pain relief at 1/300th of oral dosage.
• Pulsed Radiofrequency Neuromodulation Technology‌:
Targets pain in nerve-dominant regions through precise puncture techniques. Provides immediate relief with same-day ambulation post-procedure.
2.Multidisciplinary pain rehabilitation program
By collaborating with experts in physical therapy, psychology and rheumatology, we customize cognitive behavioral therapy and progressive exercise programs to help patients reintegrate into society.
