Dahui MA

Dr. Ma Dahui graduated from Sun Yat-sen University in 2003 and served as a postdoctoral visiting scholar in the Department of Ophthalmology, specializing in retinal research at the University of California, San Francisco in 2017. Currently, he is the Deputy Director of the Fundus Surgery Department at Shenzhen Eye Hospital.

Dr. Ma Dahui has over 20 years of clinical experience in ophthalmology, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases such as vitreoretinal disorders and cataracts. He excels in surgical interventions for various vitreoretinal conditions including macular hole, epiretinal membrane, retinal detachment, vitreous hemorrhage, and proliferative diabetic retinopathy. Additionally, he is skilled in phacoemulsification cataract extraction, intraocular lens implantation, various types of intraocular lens fixation surgeries, and combined surgical treatments for complex and refractory eye diseases.

Dr. Ma Dahui is a renowned physician in Lingnan, an outstanding doctor of Guangdong, and a mentor for vitrectomy training under the “Meet the Masters” program. He performs over 1,000 vitreoretinal surgeries annually and sees more than 5,000 specialist outpatients yearly. He serves as a member of the Visual Electrodiagnostic Group of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the Ophthalmology Committee of the Shenzhen Medical Association, and the Fundus Disease Subgroup of the Ophthalmology Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association. He has contributed to the ophthalmology monograph ‘Illustrated Visual Electrodiagnostics’, participated in numerous national and provincial-level research projects, and published over 10 SCI papers and domestic core journal articles as the first author or corresponding author.
