Degrees
MD (Germany)
Biography
Areas of Specialty
- Expertise in diagnosing and treating complex neurological conditions such as cerebrovascular diseases, cognitive disorders (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease), Parkinson’s disease, depression and anxiety disorders, epilepsy, myasthenia gravis, and multiple sclerosis.
- Focuses on EEG-driven early screening and risk stratification for cognitive impairments in brain diseases (covering Alzheimer’s disease, anxiety, depression, headaches, sleep disorders, and rare neurological diseases). Explores personalized intervention pathways by integrating neuromodulation techniques like repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS).
Education Background
- 1980.09-1985.07: Bachelor of Medicine, Tongji Medical University
- 1988.09-1991.07: Master’s Degree in Neurology, Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical University
- 1993.05-1997.04: Ph.D. in Neurology, Ernst Moritz Arndt University Medical School, Germany
Working Experience
- Accumulated extensive experience in diagnosing and treating complex, difficult, and critical neurological conditions 40+ years of clinical work in the Department of Neurology at Tongji Hospital and Shenzhen People’s Hospital.
- Established Shenzhen’s first Neurological Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and founded the largest non-invasive neuromodulation center in China, promoting the development of regional neurocritical care and non-invasive neuromodulation therapies.
Academic Achievement
- Presided over national (e.g., National Natural Science Foundation of China) and provincial/municipal research projects. Awarded the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Award and the Second Prize for Shenzhen Scientific and Technological Achievements as the first completer.
- Developed the internationally pioneering E-CDS system, a resting-state EEG-based cognitive risk screening tool, applied for brain function assessment in diseases like Alzheimer’s (research published in a journal with Impact Factor=13).
- Spent 14 years developing Neuro-11, the world’s first screening scale for Somatic Symptom Disorder (published in a journal with Impact Factor=11).
- Holds 10 intellectual property rights (including 4 invention patents, 4 software copyrights, and 2 clinical translations).
- Chief-editor of the first domestic monograph on “Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Therapy for Nervous System Diseases” (published by Science Press).
- Organized the “International Forum on Brain Cognition and Neuromodulation” for nine consecutive years, facilitating international exchange on academic frontiers.
