LIANXU ZHAO

Dr. Zhao Lianxu graduated from Sun Yat-sen University, Faculty of Medical Sciences in 1999 with a Ph.D. in Neurology, and then pursued postdoctoral research at Shantou University Medical College from 2001 to 2004. In 2013-2014, he furthered his studies at the University of Siena in Italy.

Dr. Zhao is a well-known expert in Neurology with over 30 years of experience. Before joining Shenzhen New Frontier United Family Hospital, he has ever worked at Hefei West City District People’s Hospital, Zhujiang Hospital of the First Military Medical University, and Shenzhen Hospital of Southern Medical University. In 2020, he was awarded as “Shenzhen Practical Clinical Medical Talent”. Dr. Zhao has extensive experience in the field of cerebrovascular disease sequelae, neurodegenerative diseases, genetic and rare diseases. His expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of depression/anxiety/cognitive/speech/sleep/movement disorders caused by cerebrovascular stroke, neuropathic pain, autonomic dysfunction and Alzheimer’s disease, etc.

In addition to clinical work, Dr. Zhao has received the Second Class Prize of Guangdong Province’s Scientific and Technological Progress, and holds one national invention patent as well as one utility model patent. Dr. Zhao has also involved in the editing of a professional book on stem cell research, with over 10 SCI-indexed papers and more than 20 core journal papers. Additionally, Dr. Zhao serves as the Committee Member of CSVD Branch and Neuromodulation Branch in CSA, the Executive Member of Parkinson and Movement Disorder Professional Committee in CARM as well as Neurology Branch and Rare Disease Branch in GDMA. Dr.Zhao is also the Vice President of the Neurology Branch in SZMDA.

In terms of language, Dr. Zhao is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English for daily conversation.
