Biography

Dr. Zhou Beiyan graduated from Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1986, majoring in clinical medicine. She studied at the Department of Pediatrics at Xiangya School of Medicine of Central South University, PICU at Taiwan Veterans General Hospital, and NICU at Kaohsiung Chang Gung Hospital in Taiwan. In 2016, she graduated with excellent grades from the Pediatric Nutrition Graduate Program at Boston Medical College in the United States.Before joining Shenzhen United Family Hospital, Dr. Zhou Beiyan began working at the Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care Center of Shenzhen Bao’an Women’s and Children’s Health Hospital in 1997. from the Pediatric Nutrition Graduate Program at Boston Medical College in the United States.

Dr. Zhou has nearly 40 years of clinical practice experience and is engaged in emergency treatment for critically ill and difficult newborns, such as neonatal critical care, prenatal monitoring, and neonatal transportation. Her main research areas are neonatal digestion, liver disease, and nutrition. Proficient in treating food protein allergy, bloody stools, vomiting, diarrhea, colic, growth and development delay, neonatal jaundice, cholestasis syndrome, congenital heart disease, and perioperative management of newborns undergoing chest and intestinal surgery. Nutritional and systematic management of premature infants with ultra-low and extremely low birth weight.

Dr. Zhou Beiyan is a member of the Newborn Professional Committee of the Cross Strait Medical and Health Exchange Association, an executive member of the Newborn Health Professional Committee of the Guangdong Maternal and Child Health Association, a member of the Digestive, Hepatological and Nutritional Groups of the Shenzhen Pediatric Society, a member of the Newborn Professional Committee of the Shenzhen Medical Pediatric Branch, a director of the Newborn Pediatric Physician Branch of the Shenzhen Medical Association, and a member of the Maternal and Child Health Special Committee of the Shenzhen Health Science and Technology Society Registered nutrition expert as a member of the Chinese Nutrition Society, expert in medical injury identification in Shenzhen, and senior professional title evaluation expert in the medical system in Shenzhen.

Participated in and led several national, provincial, and municipal scientific research projects, and published over 20 papers in national academic journals.
