Biography

Dr. Ren obtained his doctorate from the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences/Peking Union Medical College. Between 2008-2010, Dr. Ren worked as a postdoctoral researcher at The Methodist Hospital Research Institute (affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University) in Houston, USA.

Before joining Shenzhen United Family Hospital, Dr. Ren worked as vice physician in the radiotherapy department at the Cancer Hospital Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Shenzhen branch. He has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of rectal cancer, stomach cancer, soft-tissue sarcoma, lymphoma, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, breast cancer and in abdomen malignant tumors, especially in precision radiotherapy with concurrent chemo radiation treatment.

Dr. Ren has nearly 30 years of clinical experience. In addition to focusing on clinical work, Dr. Ren chaired and participated in a number of national, provincial and ministerial-level research projects. Dr. Ren has also published numerous academic articles in well-known medical journals, such as Translational Lung Cancer Research, the Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology, and the Chinese Journal of Oncology.

Dr. Ren holds important positions in CSCO (China Society of Clinical Oncology), Chinese Society of Radiation Oncology, China Association of Chinese Medicine (Immunological Society), China Anti-Cancer Association Brachytherapy Branch, Chinese Hospital Association Guangdong Radiotherapy Management Branch, Shenzhen Chinese Medical Association Shenzhen Oncology Credit Committee, and other positions at national, provincial and municipal levels.
