• Dr. Zhang Yongchao specializes in wrist, foot and ankle disorders, sports-related joint injuries, limb fractures, and peripheral nerve conditions such as numbness and weakness of the limbs. His surgical expertise includes hallux valgus corrective fixation, arthroscopic ligament and TFCC (triangular fibrocartilage complex) repair and reconstruction, flatfoot corrective reconstruction, replantation of severed limbs and flap repair, and minimally invasive neurolysis. He also provides treatment for tennis/golfer’s elbow, Achilles tendinitis, limb infections with exposed bone, diabetic foot, and brachial plexus disorders.

Education Background

• Dr. Zhang Yongchao graduated from Shandong Second Medical University in 2009. He then worked at the PLA 80th Group Army Hospital — a Class A tertiary hospital with a National Key Specialty in Hand Surgery and a PLA Key Specialty in Orthopedics — and later obtained his master’s degree from Shandong Second Medical University.

Working Experience

• Dr. Zhang has nearly 20 years of clinical experience.
• Before joining the Orthopedics Department of United Family Hospital, he worked at the PLA 80th Group Army Hospital — a Class A tertiary hospital with a National Key Specialty in Hand Surgery and a PLA Key Specialty in Orthopedics.
• He pursued advanced training at the Department of Hand Surgery, Huashan Hospital, Fudan University in Shanghai, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of brachial plexus injuries and diseases, as well as hand function reconstruction.
• He has also attended the OME Training Camp on Clinical Application of Arthroscopy at Huashan Hospital, Fudan University multiple times to learn the clinical application of arthroscopy.

Academic Achievement

• He has participated in one Shandong Provincial Medical and Health Science and Technology Project, led one Weifang Science and Technology Development Plan Project, and participated in three other Weifang Science and Technology Development Plan Projects.He has published, as the first author, three papers in core journals and one paper in a national journal in renowned medical publications such as the *Chinese Journal of Microsurgery* and the *Chinese Journal of Hand Surgery*. the *Journal of Traumatic Surgery*.

  He has also edited two orthopedic books as editor-in-chief and holds one national utility model patent.
